Colm who is originally from Co. Kilkenny, graduated from Waterford Institute of Technology in 2010 with an honours degree in Architectural Technology. After graduating in 2010 he moved to Galway where he began an apprenticeship in Light Vehicle body Repairs at Frank Byrnes Auto body, a multiple award winning repairer in the West of Ireland. During his time there he engaged in several roles ranging from classic car restorations to high end sports car repairs and was also Foreman of the first overnight express repair centre in the country. He completed his apprenticeship in 2015.
During 2014-2015 he also studied part time at Dublin Institute of Technology and completed the Automotive Engineer Assessors course which is run in conjunction with the I.A E.A in the U.K. In 2016 he attained full membership of the I.A.E.A. and joined McCloskey Dillon Assess Ireland where his background in bodywork repairs and automotive refinishing has been of great benefit.
Colm’s spare time is spent competing in Motorsport Irelands Hill climb championship. Colm is also a keen Martial Artist and is a member of Blackdragon Kickboxing Galway where he trains, competes and is also currently working towards a Black Belt in the sport.
