Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How quickly are the inspections carried out?
In general, and when the vehicle is available, we endeavor to carry out an inspection
within 48hrs of instructions.
Q. How long does an inspection take?
Each case is different and will depend on the circumstances. For a standard inspection
we would expect it to take approx. 20-30 minutes. In cases such as consumer complaints
however, the engineer may need to take your vehicle for a test drive. For more
detailed investigations you may be asked to leave your vehicle with the engineer
for several hours. We will always endeavor to facilitate the customer in these circumstances.
Q. We need our report quickly, how soon can we expect it and how will
it be sent to me?
We endeavor to forward all reports within 24-48hrs. Our reports are available
on line, in softcopy via email, by fax or post on request.
Q. Will I have to travel to the engineer to have my vehicle inspected?
No, our engineer can call to you with prior arrangement. Clear access
to your vehicle will be required. If your vehicle is parked in an underground
car park, the engineer may request you move your vehicle above ground
to facilitate an inspection. If it suits you better you are free
to call to any of our nationwide offices, again with prior arrangement.
Q. Can my report be sent to my Insurance Company / Solicitor?
Yes, we can forward the report on request to whichever party you require.
Q. I’m making an insurance claim. Does the engineer need a copy of my
estimate?
Yes, the engineer will require a copy of your estimate to take away with him
so he can agree costs with your nominated repairer. To ensure a timely resolution
of your claim, the estimate should be available prior to or on the day of the
inspection.
Q. We are not an insurance company, what are the costs?
